DESIGN THINKING, TECHNOLOGY & SOCIAL IMPACT

Design Thinking, Technology & Social Impact presents philanthropy, design thinking and social change through a technology lens to high school students. This course incorporates Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen's 20 years of experience as a social entrepreneur, philanthropist and lecturer of at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business to prepare students to participate in real-world nonprofit assessment and grantmaking and apply design thinking to support their own philanthropic activity.

This course is relevant for any educator who wishes to engage their students in critical analysis of and participation in philanthropy and social change, and for any student passionate about creating positive change in their community and society at large.

ALLOW GOOD COURSE

Allow Good was a Chicagoland nonprofit that works to empower all youth through the tools of philanthropy to take meaningful action in their world. This nonprofit was founded and run by one of Laura’s first Stanford students, Elizabeth Newton, and the Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen Foundation had the honor of acquiring Allow Good.
