Philanthropy
Since 2000, Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen has created and taught Stanford Graduate School of Business’ (Stanford GSB) first courses on Strategic Philanthropy, Individual Philanthropy, Philanthropy, Inclusivity and Leadership and Philanthropic Institutions and Justice. She has also developed and taught numerous courses at Stanford University on design thinking to create social impact, technology’s disruption of the social sector and grantmaking. Arrillaga-Andreessen’s highly regarded philanthropy courses empower learners of all backgrounds, ages and resources with the skills, experience and inspiration to engage in high-impact philanthropy. Her courses provide formal spaces to analyze diverse philanthropic models, define/refine social passions and purpose and equip learners with the knowledge, network and practical application to translate their financial, human, network and intellectual capital into measurable, positive change. Each syllabus includes details on assignments, lesson breakdowns, readings and module questions. Giving 2.0™ Guides
Created as part of Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen’s philanthropy courses at Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Giving 2.0™ Guides lead individual givers step-by-step through the process of identifying your unique assets and developing an intentional, meaningful giving plan. To realize your unique capacity to create social impact with your giving, it is integral that you move from being reactive to proactive, sympathetic to strategic and isolated to collaborative. The guides will provide digestible information on a variety of philanthropic topics to help amplify the impact of your giving journey.
